Trident recently joined the employee-owned revolution, with Square Mile joining as an independent member of their board of trustees for the EOT.

The Challenges
Trident have their own in house finance team, however, they engaged Square Mile to add value to their management reporting, year-end financial statements process & provide general ad-hoc accounting/taxation advice and assistance. Square Mile has provided Trident with the comfort that they have an adviser that they can lean on as and when required and provide an extension to their in-house team.
Trident have recently gone through an Employee Ownership Trust transaction, one of the requirements of which is to have an independent member of their board of trustees. As a result of the positive relationship that Trident has with Square Mile, they requested that one of the Square Mile team be appointed as one of the trustee directors, to provide an impartial, professional view in the interest of the employees.
The Solution
Trident moved their business to Square Mile in March 2019 after a successful training session on Xero, carried out at Trident’s offices. Square Mile continues to aid as required, being an important partner to their business.
